Black Sabbath add Steven Tyler and Soundgarden to their farewell show in Birmingham
The music legends join an already star-studded line-up for Villa Park Stadium
Sharon Osbourne has revealed that Aerosmith vocalist Steven Tyler and the surviving members of Soundgarden have just been added to the bill for Black Sabbath’s farewell show in Birmingham this summer.
It is already shaping up to be one of the most star-studded heavy metal line ups of all time with the likes of Metallica, Anthrax, Guns N' Roses, Tool, Slayer and Rival Sons confirmed.
Ozzy's wife and manager Sharon Osbourne announced the latest additions in an interview with The Guardian.
It comes several months after news that Aerosmith is retiring from touring, thought to be due to the strain Tyler’s voice was under following an injury.

Soundgarden's guitarist Kim Thayil, drummer Matt Cameron and bassist Ben Shepherd have reunited multiple times since the death of frontman Chris Cornell in May 2017.
The article also contained a quote from Tom Morello, who is musical director for the event and Rage Against The Machine's guitarist, saying that there are 'some pretty great surprises that are not posted anywhere'.
The Back to the Beginning concert will take place at Villa Park Stadium on Saturday July 5.
Fans to the day-long event will also be treated to performances from a 'supergroup' featuring Ghost's Papa V Perpetua, Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst, The Smashing Pumpkins' Billy Corgan and others.
The event will be hosted by actor Jason Momoa who recently starred in the new Minecraft Movie and is known for Aquaman and Game of Thrones.
There will also be the chance to see Chad Smith from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Andrew Watt, Dave Ellefson, Vernon Reid, from Living Colour and Whitfield Crane from Ugly Kid Joe.
The special event sold out within minutes with presales attracting more than 100,000 hopeful fans.
An extra pair of tickets, donated by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne for an Acorns Children's Hospice charity auction, raised a huge £22,100 for the worthy cause.
Acorns is one of three charities that will benefit from the Back To The Beginning show, with Cure Parkinson's and Birmingham Children's Hospital sharing the profits too.
